This is a set of outdoor garden planters that have been made out of old drink barrels. They are very heavy. We have priced them as a set but we will consider splitting them if requested. See below for individual prices. The two larger ones are the top and bottom of a large cognac barrel. The smaller ones are cut from smaller barrels. They have very recently had a coat of wood preserver so may weather a little between now and sale. I would expect the aged metalwork to start showing through a little. You may consider painting this with a metal paint. They are stored in the dry.

Markings: A. Drouillard Cognac
Sourced: in Normandy, France
Age: circa 1940-50âs
Materials: wood, metal
Size: Largest 35 inches across, medium 17 inches across, small 12.5 inches across
Condition: in used vintage condition. Due to being dry stored the panels have loosened a little but everything is still strong and stable. There are nails sticking out here and there and obvious wear and tear as they have been around for a while. One of the larger ones has a panel that has come out of place at one end whilst dry stored. See picture 5. This will likely push back in but does not create a structural issue as is. The previous owner used them to store their vegetables through the winter for some decades.
In summary: A nicely aged quite unique set of planters.
